I know that the PSAT will get you a National Merit Scholarship but will a high SAT score offer you any scholarships? I got a 212 on the PSAT because I knew there was money involved, but I only got a 1980 on the SAT because I thought there was no money. Is it possible to get $$$ from a good SAT score?

Yeah, but it depends on the College. In general, they will be smaller state schools so don’t expect Harvard to knock on your door with a scholarship if you get a 2400.

If you get National Merit, then you get half tuition at USC.

Schools will give you a scholarship if they’re state schools that give merit based monetary assistance

Many schools have a cutoff SAT on their merit scholarships. If you have time to retake for higher scores or try the ACT, then I would consider it.

Many schools have competitive merit scholarships. SAT and ACT scores can impact those, so practice those questions and do your best. Best of luck! Check the specific website for your schools of interest to get the details. Some “elite” schools only provide FA based on what they perceive as “need.”
