Psat help

So I had just taken 2 PSAT practice tests from Gruber's and my results were

Practice Test #1
M-64
W-59
CR-Didn't do it, but I'll use 50
Overall-173

Practice Test #1
M-67
W-62
CR-Didn't do it, but I'll use 50
Overall-179

So far I really suck at CR as you can see. I got a 164 on my PSAT(M-64 W-50 CR-50).
How can I further improve my writing and math scores? I don't know if I had improved in my CR score because I really hate it and have no confidence in it. I really want at least a 190 but my CR is killing me and my mediocre math and writing scores are impeding me from getting anywhere near 190. Any tips?

No specific help, but an observation: unless you’re in National Merit territory, nobody gives a hang what your PSAT scores are. Maybe it’s time to start working on some prep books for SAT or ACT–particularly if you’re currently in or beyond Algebra II.

^^agree. I would start a SAT prep book and just take the SAT this spring or early fall at latest (assume that will be junior year). That gives you a lot more info about where you stand for college and, basically, you’re studying the same content tested on PSAT so might help you take it next year. As soph. my kids took PSAT and PLAN, which is similar to ACT. Did y’all do that? If PLAN score was good, maybe ACT is better test for you.
