I am currently a sophomore in high school. I am in Algebra 2. I am learning Geometry in the summer (I need to be more ahead because I transferred schools and it set me back so my school is allowing me to learn it through Khan academy and take a final exam) anyway, I took the PSAT in fall of 2016…I got a 1030…and then my school offers a PSAT 10 in the spring and I got a 1070…I really want to be 1200+!! It is so frustrating! What should I do? When should I take the SAT? I am going to take the PSAT again in fall 2017 as a junior but please give me advice on everything! Thank you! I will be taking Alg 3 and Trigonometry Honors next year if I pass the Geometry final
Also I need inexpensive prep classes…I can’t pay 100s of dollars…
It seems like you might know of this because you use Khan Academy, but it has an option to load your PSAT scores in through the College Board. It will find what you missed and give you practice exercises on those concepts. It would also help to take full SAT practice tests to help yourself time manage and get used to the testing environment. Not sure if just math is your weak point, but I would encourage you to read–absolutely anything. This definitely helped me improve my comprehension and bring my EB- reading and writing score up.
Thank you so much!!! Math score was like 530 and reading was like 540
And I am not weak in math
I just think if I was on a higher math level, I could score higher
