PSAT Math Scoring

For math section scoring is it standard for the number of questions to be reduced from 38 to 28? Is this the norm? BTW the overall score was still very good and well past standard cut off for NMSF. So nothing to complain about, I'm just curious.

What do you mean 28? As in the PSAT you took only had 28 math questions? No I don’t think that’s normal…

The PSAT has 38 total math questions. 28 multiple choice (which there is a 1/4 point penalty for a wrong answer) and 10 “grid in” questions (where the student solves the problem with no answers to chooses from, and no penalty is given for a wrong answer). I hope this helps!
