PSAT results are in

aw vinny don't be disappointed! Your scores are still good and I'm sure you'll be commended. I can't believe how harsh those curves were!! Especially the writing....I got 2 wrong last year and got an 80 but that would probably be like 76/77 on this new one. I took the Nov. 2 test which had a difficult CR, easy math, and easy writing so we'll see how that goes. In the meantime, congrats on such a big improvement! : )

Lol, my updated predictions for my Saturday test:
Math: 76 (-1)
CR: 74 (-3 raw points)
Writing: 73 (-1 or 2 raw points)

Man...I hate the PSAT...

PSAT Hate Bandwagon:
1. sr6622 ( the driver)

PSAT Hate Bandwagon:
1. sr6622 ( the driver)
2. RunRinCT (haha...i call shotgun)

I love the PSAT now.

wow, okay. all i need is 215, and if i don't reach that, ... sadness.

so here's a generous guess so i'll be happy when i DO get them. i took it on sat:

CR: -4 70
M: -3 72
W: -3 73

... OH COME ON, psat gods, tell mee. fackfackfack. fack.

I am scared...don't want to see my PSAT scores anymore...my counselor can keep them for as long as he wants

guys i got my scores!
80 M =D
80 W O_O i cant believe it)
63 CR lol i guess i cant read...
223!! is that good for NY nmsq?

im so sorry though, i didnt ask around much because i didnt want to seem like i was bragging (i did very well compared to my friends) so i dont have any curve verifications for you guys

but im so happy!

if ayone was wondering:
Soph PSAT 205: 80M 65W 60CR
Soph SAT (March 05) 2220: 800M, 730W, 690CR
Junior PSAT (above) 223: 80m 80W 60CR

so i am living proof that u can improve a lot in one year (well actually i did think that i made bubbling errors on the writing last year but nm)

How many CR did you get wrong?

i got 8 wrong... how sad

writing will make or break my score....I'm nervous. I believe my school will return them monday.

so when will be know the commended and semi cutoffs?

august 2006 is when they release cutoffs

These are my scores for the wednesday test. Hopefully they'll help anyone trying to figure out the curve.

80 critical reading (missed 0, omitted 0)
67 math (missed 4- two MC, two grid ins, omitted 2)
78 writing (missed 1, omitted 0)
225 index!!!!

OMG, i was so surprised. I got a 200 index on the practice test.

My counselor said you have to have a 230 to get national merit, which is basically proof that the counseling department at my school knows nothing (I swear, if you don't want to go to the university of colorado, they pretty much can't help you).

Anyway, I was pretty sure that was wrong, so I looked it up when I got home and the Colorado cutoff last year was 214. So I'm in. I'm sooo psyched.

what. thats so long.

Ohio...got mine today

M 80 (-0)
W 80 (-0)
CR 72 (-3)

232

Isn't that CR curve a little harsh?

Jyankees, was that -3 to raw score or 3 problems answered wrong.

vegangirl that CR is amazing!! ::is jealous:: lol

and good job jyankees i got the same 80s as u

what'd you get in CR ilovemath?

what will you get if you get one wrong for math? I got my score which was 234 but dont know the individual subjects(only know that one wrong for math)
