Agreed. And whoever asked, I do go to marshfield high school. It's kind of strange to think you were in my school...haha

Thanks for your reply. I am ranked 1 in my class out of about 200. I am not stupid, and I am very suprised on the results. I am almost thinking my score was messed up and I received the wrong results. 25% is ridiculous!

Maybe you filled in your answers wrong.

I'm in shock. Today, my guidance counselor called me out of my third period Lit. class to show me my PSAT score.

I got a perfect score. 240.

I honestly think I'm going to pass out....

very nice job!!!

I got a perfect score. 240.

I honestly think I'm going to pass out....

Wow, amazing. Good job! Did you take it cold turkey?

lol, thanks oasis. I am quite the obsessor when it comes to standardized testing.

@missmanda88: nice

Thanks, guys! Everyone on here is so smart, lol.

This was my first time taking the PSATs, as I was in Disney World when they were administered last year. I have taken the SATs a few times before, mostly because my parents wanted to see where I would test at. But I didn't study for the test at all, actually. I tried to do a practice test, but I only got through two sections before I got bored.

The funny thing is, I don't know if anyone from my school has ever been a Semi-Finalist before. We don't have extremely high academic standards, haha.

again - great job....
Next step ....2400 on SAT !!! <----If you get that you are pretty much made =)

not saying that she didn't, but what if she didn't?

hmmm...well, then she would be lying, which would be prettty much pointless....but i think she genuinely got a 240.....manda, how many did u get wrong? 0!!!! Thats just amazing tht u got 125 questions correct....bravo

ok well
i can say i got a 238
when i didnt.

Man, if I got a 2400 I really would pass out, lol.

Yeah, I didn't miss any. I don't know who was more excited, me or my guidance counselor.

I'm not lying either, because it would be pretty pathetic to come on here and lie about PSAT scores to people you will never meet. But believe what you will :)

mhmm amanda prove it

scan your sheet on here or take a picture.

i seriously think the cutoff score for new york will be lower this year. or i hope so. idk im 3 points off from the normal cutoff. i dont get how i can be in the 99th percentile and still not become a semi-finalist. it just doesnt make sense. idk i got a 215 total. so im hopgin thats the new cut off. haha.

I will, as soon as I receive it. I'm not sure when I am going to actually receive my score report. My guidance counselor only showed it to me because she was so happy for me. I imagine we'll get them sometime next week.

But if you don't believe me now, I doubt that you'll believe me even if I posted a picture of my score report. After all, photos can be doctored...

i mean someones bound to get a 240 --- i dont know but whos to say she didnt

I'm pretty mad...

We had a snow day yesterday, and I went into the college counseling office today to ask them if they had received PSAT scores. They said they hadn't received them that morning. Assuming that they received them later today, they might not even mail them out till Monday. :(

We had 4 students last year make a 240. This year we had 1, and several in the high 230's. We usually have 1 or 2 make 1600 (on the old) and usually 1 makes a 36 on the ACT. We have 20-25 semi-finalists each year. There's certainly no reason to think someone didn't make a perfect score. Good job.
