PSAT Results Question

My brother just received his PSAT scores from his school. His scores were as followed: 47CR 46M 45WS, his selcetion index was 138. His is currently a sophomore in HS and has hopes to go to an Ivy or top 30. What would his score be? Is that good or bad? Please explain to me. I'm a senior in HS(accepted ED to Penn). I took my PSAT once during HS an never got my scores except when I received a letter stated that I was Nat'l Achievement

They're slightly below average. Add up his Verbal and Math scores to get a rough estimate of what his SAT score would be. If he wants to get into an Ivy, well he best get crackin'.

Yeah his scores aren't like abysmal or anything but with such high aspirations he's going to need to pick up the pace on the testing front. Perhaps you could help him?

Yeah, you best be working with him and strengthening his skills. That would be below the 1000 Mark on the SAT. Congrats on the Penn ED acceptance.

-Jerod

it depends. Do you think he is fundamentally weak on critical reading, vocab, grammar or mathematics? Or did just bomb that test?
Because I know I did (i'm a junior) 69M 54CR 80WR

That would give me a predicted score of 1330, but I score 1450 ~ 1520 in 10 Reals and other practice tests... so.. i dunno
