PSAT Score: What would I need to earn to get into a top school?

I got a 1210 on my PSAT (660 CR 550 M) and I was wondering how much should I be aiming to improve for when I take the PSAT again next year as a junior? I’m a permanent resident, and have not yet applied to become a U.S. Citizen so I don’t think I can earn National Merit, but I am really looking to see how I should be doing to get into school such as BU, NYU, UCLA, USC and Georgetown.

I would recommend in the 2200’s.

@bythesea00 PSAT scores usually aren’t taken into account (unless you qualify for Natl. Merit or something) - usually they consider SAT or ACT scores, and possibly SAT subject tests.

By comparison, my PSAT reading/writing was really low, but it didn’t matter at all for me.
