PSAT score

ok so my school is pretty dang stupid. they have the psat scores but aren't giving it out yet. the guidance office said in a week or two, before break. is there anyway for me to email/call collegeboard to try and get my score? or must i wait 2 more weeks to get it. its sad because i took SAT on saturday and i'll get the scores in 2 weeks.

advice please

You can get it online “mid-December”. Go to collegeboard and fill in your email address, and they will email you when it is available online.

^shrinkrap: are you sure about that? I thought that they would simply notify you of when the college quickstart is up (which requires that you have the code from your score sheet) and not that they would actually send the scores to your email.

only problem is, i registered for psat through my school, not through collegeboard. so it isn’t showing up on my collegeboard account, i think i’ll have to put in the actual serial number and stuff when i get the papers =/

From personal experience, collegeboard normally does not give out PSAT score info until the scores are online.

“^shrinkrap: are you sure about that?”

I don’t think they send the scores to your email, but they offer to notify you when they are available on line, probably via “my college quick start”. I can’t remember why my son signed up for this, but it was using something from previous testing. He also signed up via his school, but there may have been some id number on a report from freshman year (his school has them take it every year),

The site says…

http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/psat/quickstart.html?BannerID=ba_190554&AffiliateID=1</a></p>

Taken the PSAT before?
"My College QuickStart is a valuable part of your PSAT/NMSQT experience. To access your most recent test results online, you need a College Board website account and the access code printed on your PSAT/NMSQT paper score report. It typically takes less than two minutes to create your FREE account.

It ALSO says…

Taking the PSAT/ NMSQT in November?
“Congratulations on taking an important step towards college and your future career. Your 2009 PSAT/NMSQT results will be online in mid-December.”

“Enter your email address below, and we’ll let you know as soon as your results are available.”

I honestly don’t remember exactly HOW I did it, but I think last year, I had an '07 score report. I probably used that to set up a Quick Start account, and shortly after, the '08 results popped up.

Ok shrink, ill try putting my code for 08 in there and hopefully it shows this years grade. Ill post back if it works later. Thanks

Last year they were available on the 2nd Friday of December. I think we’ll see the scores online on December 11th.

Shrinkrap it doesn’t work
sigh…
thank you though

WHAT doesn’t work? Were you able to set up an account? If so, does it show '08 scores? If it does, it “works”; now you have to wait for the 09 scores to be available online.

My son’s account show’s '07 and '08 as available right now.

i didn’t try putting in my old scores, but my mom called today and they told her the score. i did ****ty =/ 67M 63CR 56W. i took sat’s on sat and im very confident in my math section. from what i saw in the math thread, i only got 1 possibly wrong, which was a student response and counts as an omit, hopefully that still gives me an 800 if i got nothin else wrong. hope for me on dec 21, i may break something during the suspense lmao

PyroDave, so you merely called and they told you?

indeed. my mom called the school. not collegeboard. they didn’t give me the actual packet though

I had an account set up,acessed it but the 09 results aren’t out yet.
Nothing to do but scream into my pillow and wait…

Scores are available…

Scores are available online only if you have the code that is on the paper copy. You might be able to get that from your school if they haven’t given out the scores yet, but I’ll note that you also should avoid annoying the college counselors/guidance dept with incessant begging.

Why are scores not available without a code? I do not see the point in requiring a code.

me either.
