got a 217… would this be able to qualify me for the semifinalist award for nh?

73 CR. 71 M. 65 W. I’m fairly sure I’m safely above the cutoff for commended here in NY.

Will a 220 for sure make the NMSF cutoff in AZ?

@swerve22: I remember you from the PSAT discussion thread! Yeah 220 will be 100% good for AZ NMSF.

what is the decryption key pls.! thx man

Ok I had posted my scores in another thread - 221. My GC says I’m going to be at the border line for Texas, but I am like - “Umm… How?” She says Texas scores have been consistently rising, and I am not sure that is wholly true, but I am pretty sure 221 is going to cut the cake. What do you all think?

So bummed…DS got a 220 in California. He got a 219 as a sophomore , and a 2320 on the real deal in March, so we were hoping for higher. His strengths were strangely different every time: sophomore PSAT showed an 80 for writing, and he had a 780 on the SAT, but he only got a 72 this time around. He also had a 72 in math this time, but had an 800 on the SAT, as well as on the Math 2 SAT II. He scored 76 on CR this time, but only 680 last year, and a 740 on the SAT. Go figure…

Wish there wasn’t such a large disparity between state cutoffs, because 220 is a very good score that we should be thrilled with. It stinks to score in the 99th percentile and feel disappointed :(.

any predictions for the NMSF cutoff for oregon this year? i got a 213 and am wondering if that will be enough to qualify me for semifinalist…the trends in the past years have been 218, 213, 216, 215, 213, 213, 213! i am hoping and PRAYING that i made it!
also just for kicks:
63 CR (ugh)
76 M
74 WR

westcoastmom - you have a long wait to go. And dang those SAT scores look beast!

D is still waiting for her scores. She is a homeschooler, but took at the local high school. She used her state homeschool code. When we tried to register on college board site, we got an error message that said that was not a good code! I checked and rechecked and then checked several more times. I scoured the internet… yep, it’s the same code everywhere I look.
Is anyone else still waiting? When should we call?

Sophmore
63 CR
76 Math
67 Writing
Was expecting better, but not too bad :)

Shellybean - The homeschool code is so that the scores are sent to your home not the school where she took the test. The code you need to enter on the college board site is a unique code that is printed on the paper test score. You can’t access the scores online until you have the printed score report. My homeschool son got his score on Tuesday but a homeschool friend who took the test on the same day and same location is still waiting for his scores.

got a 223… Would this be able to qua;ify me for the semifinalist award/NMSF cutoff for NJ.any forecast for the NMSF cutoff for NJ this year?

DisappointedSAT or anyone else, can you please repost the test booklet pdf, the link you posted does not work for me.

@NIGHTLOCK omg dude i remember you whats up man! been a couple months haha but yeah i scored 220!

9th grade:

M: 76
W: 65
CR: 59

SI: 200

I sucked…at least I did better than what I thought I did.

3scoutsmom, thank you. Actually, I was trying to follow the option of “login without your access code” and it asked me for the homeschool code for the state I was in. It even said, locate your code, but when I clicked on the link it took me back to the beginning, which was odd.
Anyway, thank you. If your friend hasn’t gotten his, I won’t worry yet.
My son took the SAT on Dec 7, and we were joking he may get his score back before D’s PSAT! lol

Do we expect cut scores to rise again this year? I’ve been obsessing ever since getting my son’s scores back this week. He’s pretty much on the bubble here in PA. He should be good, if things don’t go too crazy, but after last year’s jumps across the board, I’m a little anxious. How likely do we think scores are to jump another 2-5 (Alaska 8!!!) across the board?

Got a 229 as a junior
Math: 80, Reading: 75, Writing: 74

Junior - 232 PSAT (80 M, 80 W, 72 CR)

I expect the scores to be a little lower in my state. I have many friends at one of the top-ranked schools in the nation (I used to go here), and many scores all seemed to decreased by 5-10 points – even for kids who were hitting 225’s and 230’s as sophomores. However, I have heard fairly high scores from other schools, so I think it works both ways. I’d predict in the end that it stays pretty much right around the same.
