<p>The cutoff charts that people post (like this</a> one) are for semifinalist status. The cutoff for commended scholars is the same nation (and world) wide - it normally floats around 202, but I'm not exactly sure what it was this year.</p>
<p>The article you posted states that 202 is the cutoff for commended, nationawide. This is consistent with what other has posted as well. Commended scholars & those who may qualify for higher awards receive a letter from the College Board in the spring of their junior year about this.</p>
<p>OMFG ARE YOU SERIOUS?! I've been freaking out because the semi cutoff is 222 in NJ and I thought that was for commended... so I was like AHH i need 233 or so to be a semifinalist!</p>
