PSAT Top Scorers Announced in April...

My D also scored a 224 and she did get a letter, but just late last week as they sent the letters to her school. Have you called the school or NMSC to see if the letter was sent or if it arrived and someone is sitting on it? I am sure you will probably be semifinalist with that score unless there was a big change from last years scores. There were only 3 states that had a 224 or higher cutoff for semi last year. Luck is with you unless you live in MA,DC or perhaps MD?

How do you find the list of schools that give NM money?

HighlandMom, I wondered the same thing. On the National Merit site, they posted their 2007 Annual Report which includes a list of scholarship sponsors:

<a href="http://www.nationalmerit.org/07_annual_report.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.nationalmerit.org/07_annual_report.pdf</a></p>

This includes corporate sponsors as well as colleges. I don't know if there's one place you can go to for all the information- it would be nice if there was! My D hasn't logged in to the College Plans site- perhaps there is some information there?

I turned homeschool since the PSAT and my former guidance counselor hasn't gotten the letter. I'm in a home-based private school (I just use it for guidance services) and I'm wondering what I should do about it.

I think I have to contact College Board and National Merit about the change so they don't send the letter to my former school

Thanks for that sabaray! :)

Yale University.

I think I'm going to send mine to Washington U St. Louis and Oberlin. Those are fairly random picks though...

I was sooo torn between MIT, Brown, and Hopkins (I love them all equally!)

I figured Hopkins might care more (the other two don't give merit aid) but I ended up picking Brown and MIT to show interest.

I sent it to Georgetown and Boston College
