so yea going undecided has a better chance especially for majors like premedice, business, and especially engineering.</p>
<p>If I applied for Smeal and really don’t think I have a shot based on what I am seeing here, should I call before I get rejected or wait until I hear back, if I want to change my major.</p>

i got the coming days to altonna right now and just changed it. idk maybe check after you get it instead of doubting yourself. i really dont know if it makes a difference maybe a junior or senior member who has expierenced this can tell us</p>

So you applied to Smeal and then changed to undecided after you got Altonna? Just trying to get a timeline here so I can be prepared.</p>
<p>no i applied for premedice major. which i believe is pretty difficult to get into. since pre med isnt really a major in most colleges its just the required mcat courses i decided to change it to undecided to perhaps have a better chance. smeal have the same think where you can take business classes and then transfer to the college. Its worth a try that is. Ill try anything in my power to get into the leap program cuz i heard its great. I also emailed them for summer about january 2nd that would suck if i didnt get in even with summer</p>
<p>update: so i log back in to my account and notice that i have the coming days soon and my picture changed from altona to up. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?</p>

<p>I applied to Smeal and summer right from the start in October. My web page says still reviewing. 3.4uw and an 1820 on the SAT’s. Probably should have gone undecided.</p>

<p>Wow! You can just call and change to undecided and get in? Interesting! The status change said for my D to call of either she would consider another major or alt campus. She was also rejected to Smeal.</p>
<p>@blobhead, if you go undecided, will you be able to take the courses that allow you to apply for medical school later ? The premed track at UP allows you to get into those courses. My D is in same situation. She applied for summer and Premed and her pic changed to Hazelton ( her alternate) where there is no premed program offered. So she will call now and ask for undecided but I have doubts if that is ok to do. She might get stuck with non-premed courses at UP anyway.</p>

<p>No, just straight UP. It isn’t her first choice so we probably won’t call admissions but it would make her feel better to not be rejected :)</p>
<p>Also she has been accepted to 2 other Business programs with very good merit scholarships so I think she feels better knowing she is in for Business.</p>
<p>Wondering how much weight summer session puts on admission at this point.</p>
<p>Just called admissions and the admission counselor told me to send an email to <a href=“mailto:admissions@psu.edu”>admissions@psu.edu</a> to be reevaluated for University Park for DUS. How did the people who did it over the phone do it over phone?</p>
<p>Maybe they are getting inundated with calls and decided to go the email route?</p>
