Will applying for summer session help me? Or are my stats good enough for fall?
When you put the summer session as an option, they only review you for summer if they deny you for fall. So it doesn’t hurt you whatsoever to add the summer option on the application. That being said, if you get in for summer, then you have to go in summer, you can’t ask for reconsideration for fall because they would have already denied you for fall. I hope that makes sense. Also be willing that summer is an extra cost. In state, it cost us about $8k to send our daughter to summer a few years ago.
Your GPA is right at the bottom of the middle 50% and your SAT is at the low end of the middle 50% as well, so I’d add summer as an option. What major are you applying to? That has a HUGE effect on admission rates with a borderline GPA.
I would apply for Undecided, I have seen that that would increase my chances?
Yes, applying DUS (+summer session) makes it more likely you’ll get in if you are borderline or want to get into Smeal.
