@dragon95 Basically, the “reviewing your credentials” is the step before the “a decision will be made in the upcoming days” status. I know multiple people have said this, but Penn State is completely numbers driven so just focus on your GPA and SAT. I got in this year for Engineering and I applied at the same time you did and had a lower SAT score, but a higher GPA. That isn’t a bad thing, you definitely have a GOOD CHANCE. Most people find out later in January, and at worst you might have to start in the summer. Don’t be fazed by the fact that people are getting in now, remember that Penn State (UP) has 40,000 undergrads which means a ton are accepted.

I’m still waiting for my decision, (just noticed today that it changed to the “coming days” one!) I’m fairly confident I’ll get in judging on this forum (2190 SAT and ranked 7/801) but I was wondering if anyone accepted now or in the past has received any kind of academic scholarships besides the one offered for Schreyer’s? This is BY FAR my #1 school but my parents are concerned about the price.

HarryPotter94 - My son was accepted to the College of Engineering last year with stats just a little lower than yours and received an academic scholarship. What college did you apply to - it may make a difference? Also, he wasn’t offerred the scholarship until March - the week after the Schreyer decisions came out.

Has anyone received an acceptance letter from the College of Communications? I’m seeing lots of Engineering acceptances…but no Comm. My son has the “coming days” status, since Friday. I hope that is a good sign. Congrats to all who have made it in!

Spoke too soon…Congrats hugoblack…my son has similar numbers to yours, but he comes from a large public school in Westchester County, NY. Hope he gets in too!
