That was for @fux
If you’re borderline, do they review your personal statement and does it make a difference?
@proudofmygirl Thank you for posting that! It is comforting to know that decisions can’t all be released at the same time. Sounds like all decisions are made though…and they just randomly release them. At least that’s what it sounded like to me.
@psufriend18 oh, if you applied and had all materials in prior to Nov 30, then you will hear for sure by next Friday. I thought you applied after priority. GOOD luck!
My daughter is waiting for School of Communications decision. Still no status change. Maybe tomorrow is our day.
No change in status here. Now I am doubtful that we will have a decision this week at all.
@SoBlessed15 We’ve been waiting on School of Communications since early October. No status change here either. Only saw one acceptance on Twitter tonight. Hopefully very soon!!
I spoke with admissions earlier this evening. An admissions counselor told me that the majority of the decisions for applicants who applied before November 30th HAVE been made, however, many of them still need to be released.
I should have tried them this evening. I thought they closed at 5.
Why don’t they just release them? Jeez
@Tooth1010 I think it’s very likely that they do read read them and whatever recs from teachers. at least I hope so!
I have a hard time believing from an IT standpoint that they can’t release them all at once. Lots of schools do that. I think it is more man power. If they release 10,000 decisions at once, they could possibly be getting 10000 phone calls all at the same time. I don’t know…there has to be a reason unless they just really like creating suspense!
I think it is phone call related. I’m in IT and it is not a server issue but phones ringing off the hook. So it is still confusing - do they accept more before the deadline to lessen the impact on the phone system and at the same time reject a small portion?

Just got home, saw all the posts, and checked. Can’t believe it!!! “COMING DAYS” Two fabulous words! Finally! Now just hope I’ll like the COMING ANSWER!
Jihpsu my daughter’s status is unchanged. Checking twice a day to keep from losing our minds.
So who all are definitely going to attend Penn State? I am gonna attend the college of engineering for sure
I’ve been following along for weeks, finally posting…can’t stand the waiting any longer!!! Making me crazy. S applied in Nov. and still has “credentials” status. He changed his request from Smeal to DUS on Tuesday when so many acceptances were being released. I’m hoping that didn’t cause him to be put into the re-evaluate category and will therefore delay the news. Really hoping for a status change tonight at 6 and an answer tomorrow…
D just got accepted to the College of Communications. She received her email yesterday but we still have not received the snail mail. She applied back in September and was getting increasingly nervous as this is her top choice aside from a reach school.
She also applied to the Honors college and unfortunately, there has been a mix up with the materials that were supposed to be sent by her school. Penn State emailed her to advise that she can no longer be considered for Honors as a freshmen, as the materials were not received by the deadlines. This was very upsetting and I asked her to talk to guidance today to see if they can do anything since someone dropped the ball.
Stats were ACT 31
SAT 1860
GPA weighed 97.5
OOS - NY
Not even checking anymore
