<p>Do you know anyone who's landed summer i-bank internships with prestigious firms that didn't do the traditional business/econ major? Anyone who majored in something like psych/govt/sociology who was successfully hired as an analyst into BB firms such as Lehman, Goldman Sachs, or Deutsch? How about into consulting firms like McKinsey? I want to study things I'm really interested in while in college, but I don't want to shoot myself in the foot with a 180k bullet to do so.</p>
<p>You dont need to have a business/econ major for getting an intenship at those bulge bracket investment banks. many investment bankers are Biology majors ,and even music majors. Quantitative skills would be a definite plus, but you dont have to get a degree in mathematics. There are many factors considered</p>
