Psychology pre-requisites for medical school?

Hi everyone!
I’ve been searching this online but couldn’t find a definitive answer. Is Intro/Foundations of Psychology plus lab a pre-req for med school or can it be any type of psych such as abnormal or behaviour with out a lab?

Not all medical schools require psych for admission. You will need to check admission requirements for specific schools. Some specifically say introductory psychology; some say 8 credits in social sciences.

No med school I am aware of requires a psych lab for admission. However, a psych lab may be a part of the course requirement at your school.

Take a look at the topics included in the Foundations of Human Behavior (Psych/Soc) subtest of the MCAT.

You’re unlikely to find those topics covered in abnormal psych.
