Psychology?

I'm starting this thread because I know Case is very oriented around biology, engineering, and business, and I was wondering how strong their other departments are. I know social sciences aren't something to necessarily come here for, but what is the story behind the Case Psychology department? I'm a rising senior who wants to study psychology and neuroscience.

Thanks.

Hi sarawithoutanh,

I’m not a Psychology major, but I do go to Case and I do have a lot of friends who are majoring in Psychology. You are right that Case has strong science departments, but the social sciences are pretty strong as well. I have found that Case is pretty well rounded when it comes to academics. I am a third year Classics major, by the way. The social sciences at Case are just as challenging as the engineering/science areas, but in their own way. I guess what I’m trying to say is that if you do end up at Case majoring in a social science, you will not be disappointed. The Psychology department is also big on research and Case is an excellent research institution. I hope I helped at least a little.
