Well, both Princeton and Columbia are underperforming outliers. The good thing about this is that Princeton students are not wasting too much time on playing games. They are probably hitting the books all the time…, only the not so bright athlete students did these sorts of things.

It’s probably more accurate to say that Princeton students ranked 39th in a study conducted using games to measure “Speed, Attention, Flexibility, Memory and Problem Solving”. To say that this automatically correlates to “smartness” is a pretty big leap!

I’ve never heard of this site, and neither have my friends. Sure, it’s fun to rank schools, but I’m pretty sure it’s not representative. I’m even more sure this was a publicity stunt to get their site more visitors.

The Pearson coefficients are too good to ignore when it comes to correlate with SAT and ACT. It probably reflects some aspect of an IQ. The cutoff is at least 50 students playing the game from an institute. The underperforming of Princeton students was probably due to disproportional participation by not so bright legacy and athlete students?

I’ve heard & read through other sources that Princeton is a good school. This study should not dissuade anyone from applying to Princeton, in my opinion.

I bet no one at Princeton heard of this Study because no one wastes his time on “GAMES” trying to prove his superiority over other students.
Additionally, where is Caltech ? not at top 300 C’mon XD
This is study is one of the least scientifically rigorous ones that aim at ranking schools.
