<p>Mills College, if you are female, has a 4+1 MPP program, which is a 4 year undergrad in Public Policy with the 5th year being the Masters in Public Policy.</p>

<p>Public policy in what area? Environmental? Education? Political? After filtering that, Public policy centers at universities are generally funded by rich politicians foundations, Gerald Ford, John Heinz, Lyndon Johnson etc.</p>

<p>I think the Mills College description of "What is public policy?" is really good, but basically, if you are interested in shaping the way the government deals with the environment, homelessness and other social problems, transportation, etc., you might be interested in public policy. </p>

<p>Syracuse has a great public policy program. The grad school has been ranked #1 in the nation (yes, higher than the ivy league schools) in Public Policy for several years now, and many of the undergraduate Public Policy courses that you take there are taught by the grad school faculty.</p>

<p>Princeton has a highly regarded program in Public and International Affairs offered through the Woodrow</a> Wilson School.</p>
