Public vs. Private high school

i go to an all girls private high school and i love it. i don't think i'd be able to focus as much as i do now if there were boys around. haha. its such an awesome environment to be in academically.

i talk with my friends (who also go to all boys' and girls' schools) and we get kind of bummed when we watch tv, and we miss out on some events because we're same sex schools (like having homecoming queens and kings, sadie hawkins dances, having a boyfriend who goes to the same school, etc). but at the same time, we love it becuase we get to be who we are and not be afraid of the scrutiny the other sex brings. at my school, we can look like crap and no one would care cuz hey, who are we trying to impress? the male teachers?? and the guys don't have to worry about their manners or offending girls with jokes or anything like that. and there's less intimidation when you're not afraid of making yourself look like an idiot in class in front of a boy or girl. i personally love it.

are there any public same sex schools? i'm pretty sheltered where i live, and don't know much about other types of schools.

Prolixity where do you go? There are so few all girls preps that are not Catholic schools and I know Castileja is where a good friend went.

ah, i go to Mercy Burlingame. yeah, i've heard of castelleja. they're a lot farther down south of us, i think. i know that non-catholic same sex schools exist, but i was wondering if there were any public ones

There's an all girls charter school in my city.

I go to a private high school in hudson county. it cant get any worse, more than half of the seniors last year went to community colleges.

Does your high school ranking play a big role during the admission process for colleges?

Public-Iowa.

Here the public schools are on par/better then the private ones.

i go to a private school in Canada, Ontario... you cant top this sh1t.
