Publics going private?

With all of the financial woes in Cali, especially in the education sector, I'd be curious to hear what some of you think about the possibility of schools like Cal and UCLA becoming private? Is this idea plausible, or has it ever been seriously discussed?

I don’t want my costs to go up :(

nah .

higherhopes, how’d you do that w/o 10char??

I remember there was some proposal by the UC higher-ups about not requiring public approval for measures, which means UC’s would become much closer to becoming private schools.

nope .

no .

omg wtEFF how do you guys do that please teach me

Do what?
<— is confused

no .

haha : D

? .

hm . .

Going private might not be a bad thing. I go to USC for free tuition and most of my living expenses paid.

boo .

bmanbs–yeah of course. it’s not so much the #'s and the sticker cost that matter, but how much AID those schools actually tend to give.

^No characters! I win.

hahaha wt f. now THAT’s impossible…

sadddddddddd (10+ characters) yay

I actually wouldnt mind if cal and ucla became private. It would make them more prestigious worldwide
