Is it best to by your laptop form University Computers or to purchase elsewhere? PC or MAC?

My brother got his PC laptop from University Computers because they offer packages with laptops that include messenger bags, printers, USB cables, etc.

Makes no difference, either where or what, laptop or desktop, totally your choice.

I'd suggest buying insurance. Have a policy with NSSI for full replacement cost coverage on stuff in room, computer. The computer screen broke and they paid the $600 replacement cost. There are other companies. The main thing is you don't want to claim a loss on your parents' homeowner's policy because that will screw them up. Policies cost maybe $150.

i bought my mac from University Computers and it worked out really well. it was a good deal. also, i had a pc for the first year and a half of college and hated it so i switched over to a mac. its a personal choice though
