Purdue admission chances

I have questions concerning my chances of admission into Purdue’s bomedical engineering program. My gpa is 2.77-2.8, my ACT score is 24, and I’m not a resident of Indiana. What are my chances? Also I’m a senior, so would it be too late to do volunteer work? (I would’ve done it sooner, but I’ve been recovering from a knee injury and then a knee surgery.) Please answer my question to your earliest convenience.

Sorry bud but you’re not getting in, GPA is too low :frowning:

Even if I do volunteer work?

Even if I do volunteer work?

I hate to say it but I’m gonna be straight up and say you really don’t have a shot to get in, however, there are thousands of colleges out there, and with those stats I’m sure you will find a good one that is a good fit for you.

Sorry, find another school or go to CC for a couple years and then transfer.

It is easy to compare your stats to the Freshman profile. No need to have anyone tell you your chances:

Try taking the ACT again to improve your score. If you get a 28 or higher, it should help balance out the low grades in the admissions process. Have you taken many AP’s or honors?

I have not.

When people say volunteer work is good, it isn’t usually at the last moment that you should do it. Rather, it’s similar to adding salt to a dish, it’s not intentionally part of the dish but it makes it taste better. In your case, adding salt isn’t going to make much difference.

And unless you’re willing to study your ass off for the ACT and getting a higher score, there is little to none chance that you’ll get in. :frowning:

Maybe start off at a CC for a year then transfer over. This way you save money and still get into the school of your dreams!
