Purdue Transfer to UMich

So right now I'm a Landscape Architecture sophomore here at Purdue. I started my freshmen year at a community college. Recently I have been thinking about switching to Architecture but Purdue doesn't offer any Arch degree. Therefore, the only thing that I can do is to transfer out. The Taubman College does offer a 2-year(junior+senior) BS Arch program and I think I've pretty much fulfilled most of the pre-requisite courses. I've also got about 3 months to wrap my portfolio up.

Freshmen Year GPA@Community College: 3.9
First Semester GPA@Purdue: 3.8~4.0
Toefl Score(Im a international student): 637(Requirement = 550~600)
Extra Curricular:
High School: Debate Team Representative, Several National/Continential Piano Awards
Community College: Graphic Designer of a cultural club, officer of another club
Purdue: Member of American Society of landscape architects, enrolling in an Honors program
Previous Employment: Graphic Designer
Portfolio: In progress. I'm sure it'll be good though
Recommendations: 1 from LA professor;1 from Design instructor

Please Chance me.

For Michigan, transfer admissions is basically all GPA and credits. The higher the better. Essays and ECs are counted but are not particularly important. Your GPA is pretty strong and as long as you have a good amount of credits, you should pretty easily be able to get into Michigan. Keep in mind however, you will only be able to transfer 60 external credits.

Thank you:)

Here is some extra information regarding credit requirements:

*New transfer students must have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours (maximum of 70 credit hours) before the proposed term of admission. New transfer students are admitted for the summer half term only.

*Required courses must be completed before beginning the
program in the fall and should be completed by the end of
winter term while applying for admission—typically at the
end of sophomore year.

I still have 1 required course of physics yet to complete but I don’t want to take it next semester at Purdue because I still have to stay on track with my current program. From the descriptions above, does it mean that I can take that Physics course at summer half-term?
And it says a “maximum of 70 credits hours” but I will probably have around 72 by then. Does that mean I’ll be ineligible for admission or they will just transfer 70 out of the 72 credits?

I’ve sent them an email a couple of days ago and I know it’ll take forever for them to reply…

I’m much more familiar with LSA and I’m not particularly familiar with Taubman. However, generally it is advisable for you to take physics at Purdue rather than waiting until the summer term to take it. Usually you want to follow what they say to the letter. I would still call to make sure but from my experience, that’s probably what you should do. Also, there is no such thing as ineligibility, at least in CoE and LSA, if you exceed the maximum number of credits they accept. You will simply lose 2 credits and start with 70. I don’t think e-mailing them is such a good idea, I would simply call because you get a much more accurate answer and it’s much quicker. The best thing to do is actually go to the admissions office in Ann Arbor as the right people will be able to talk to you but obviously if you’re in Indiana right now it may be a little difficult to do. I mean I had it easy since I lived in Ann Arbor when I spoke to the admissions office so sometimes this advice can’t really be used by other people.
