Purdue, VT, or Carnegie Mellon (Waitlist)

Hey guys!
So I’ve been accepted into Purdue’s school of engineering, Virginia Tech’s college of sciences (in-state), and waitlisted from Carnegie Mellon CIT. I’m interested in pursuing engineering/computer science, and I was wondering if the costs would outweigh the benefits to go to a school such as Purdue or Carnegie Mellon (both around 40k) or go in-state for virginia tech (20k). if I were to go out of state, I would be paying 50% of the cost difference from going to a state school, so if I would go to Purdue, I would need to pay 10k on my own per year or take out additional loans. I have not gotten into VT’s school for engineering, so I would have to transfer into that or transfer to computational analytics within the colleges of sciences (easier). Carnegie Mellon is my top choice, but is also very expensive. If I were to decide to be put onto the priority waitlist, it would be binding. I want to travel cheaply in college/study abroad, and plan on getting a masters after college. Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated
