Put down wrong academic program

Hi CC,

I was just finalizing my RD applications (I was deferred EA from Harvard) and noticed a mistake on the CommonApp I sent to Harvard.
For the question “What academic program at Harvard interests you?” I put down “Humanities” with “3” and “2” for academic and vocational plans respectively.

The thing is that I don’t intend to do anything within the area of Humanitites and there is nothing on my application that would reflect an interest in that field. I actually thought I had put down “Biological Sciences”. My intended major is “Undecided”.

Harvard claims that the intented major and field of concentration isn’t binding in any way, but I think that the lack of interest in my alleged field of concentration might hurt me for admission purposes.

What should I do? I can’t change the CommonApp forms. Should I write an e-mail or just leave it alone?

Thanks in advance

The latter.

And Harvard is correct  Many, many students change their concentrations along the way.

I won’t tell you what to think, but I’d still suggest trusting what Harvard says on this subject.
