Which field of study are you most likely to pursue - binding?

Hello,

There's a question on the common app that asks: Of the following fields of study, which are you currently most likely to pursue?

I selected a field even though I wasn't sure, and now I'm having second thoughts. Does Harvard accept students based on the field that they choose, and would there be problems if I wanted to pursue a different field of study if I get accepted by some miraculous chance?

Field of study choice in your app is non-binding. You are admitted to the college not the major. You can change majors at any time.

About 70% of Harvardians change their major.

Your choice of possible concentration is not binding, and therefore your choice has no effect on admissions. However, IMHO, the choice of an unusual concentration, such as “classics” or linguistics, coupled with demonstrable extensive research outside of the HS classroom can make a slight difference in admissions.
