Putting a sport I quit on a college application?

I played volleyball in middle school and then freshmen & sophomore year. I made the varsity team sophomore year, but I decided not to return my junior year because the coach made me hate the game I used to love. During the fall freshmen & sophomore year I was doing “double-duty” if you will because I was playing volleyball and I was in the marching band (I play the snare drum).
Quitting was the best decision I could have made because I was able to focus more on marching band, varsity basketball and school as I took 3 AP Classes junior year and this year I am taking 4. My question is should I put that I participated in volleyball for 2 years on my application or will colleges hold the fact that I quit against me?

yes, put it on the application
no, they wont hold it against you.

I would. You did take it and did reasonably well so why not?

Everyone tries their hand at different things but it is hard to continue everything for 4 years. Colleges understand.

It isn’t a negative to put it, but since it is something you don’t do now, I can see it low on the list, if not dropping off, depending on what else you have.
