I am looking for Online CS language courses for this summer.
Came across Simplilearn Python course for $499.
Does anyone have any experience with it. Is it worth it?
Any other suggestions? For ID Tech you have to travel to different locations and I am looking strictly online.
Thanks
anyone?
HAHA $500??? Nope. You don’t need to spend a cent to learn com sci.
You can find tons of Udemy courses on Python for $10.
You can watch tutorials on youtube for free. Really, it’s not worth it to pay that much money to learn a single programming language. It’s fairly easy to teach any language, Python especially, to yourself.
But how would I place this on my college application if I don’t receive a certificate and I assume to get a certificate I will have to have something structured?
Knowing a programming language, or even getting a certificate, won’t help your college application at all. What you do with that knowledge/tool may help.
There’s an option for most colleges to add a personal website or something of the sort. Knowing the language or getting the certificate won’t help as much as creating programs/projects with your coding knowledge and showcasing them on a website.
