Do UC schools, specifically UCB & UCLA, look at your middle school accelerated math courses (ex: algebra 1 & geom) in the admissions process as well? Or, is it just for earning the required credits?
And, would a 4.2-4.25 UC GPA, make me seem as an impressive applicant?
No, they don’t even consider your freshman grades, so why would they consider middle school grades? Your UC GPA only includes grades from classes that you took from the summer between your freshman and sophomore years and on.
A UC weighted and capped GPA of 4.25 is an excellent GPA for an applicant to the UCs.

Middle school courses in Math such as Algebra/Geometry and Foreign language are considered for meeting the a-g course requirements but not the grades.

2020 UC capped weighted GPA averages along with 25th-75th percentile range:

UCI: 4.11 (3.96-4.26)
UCD: 4.11 (3.97-4.25)
UCSC: 3.94 (3.71-4.16)

UCM: 3.68 (3.40-3.96)
4.25 AND solid ECs and essays will make you a strong applicant but, B and LA are both competitive, even for high stat applicants. - as evidenced by their acceptance rate above.
