in the acceptance packet it says there are quads (w rate at same as double) but online it only has single, double, triple. where are these alleged quads?? are they much roomier than doubles ? help?

Are you sure you aren't just talking about a suite? Suites are pretty sweet. I lived in one my freshman year.

Well...

Quads are actually pretty roomy. It's set up so that there is a big central room with 4 desks and 4 chairs, which is where everyone would work and throw their school stuff. On either side of this little lobby, there are 2 rooms that have 2 beds, 2 dressers and 2 closets. Basically, it's all the same equipment in any room (I dunno about triples though) but it's slightly more spread out.

I was there for Summer College in 2007 and I remember one of our favorite places to hang out was one of my friend's quads.

^That's what I'm talking about: a suite. I lived in a suite in Donlon my freshman year. We were actually able to host mini-parties b/c we had the common room in b/w the two bedrooms.

that sounds hot!

That sounds pretty cool. Norcalguy, would you recommend it over a double.

Yea. It's essentially a double except u get the extra common room. In my quad, we had an engineer, a hotelie, a premed (me), and an architect so it was a diverse mix. A single is better if you need quiet time or personal space (but you're not going to get that in Donlon anyway). We used to play hall sports at 2 am in the morning, until it was outlawed :(

are there a sufficient amount of quads? I am about to make a quad my number one choice.

No, there are very few quads. I don't remember requesting a quad but it was a long time ago that I filled out the housing form.

This may sound stupid but do our roommates change each year?

Not if you and your roommates want to live together for four years.

But yes.
