Quantitative Analysis Rankings

I was looking up U.S. News’ 2009 Undergraduate Quantitative Analysis rankings, but I want to find out more. This is what I have so far:

MIT

Penn

Carnegie Mellon

Purdue

Cal Berkeley

Georgia Tech

(tied) NYU, Michigan, Texas

Florida

(tied) Maryland, Minnesota, Wisconsin

I was hoping to find out atleast the top 20 out, but I haven’t been able to find #14. If anyone knows or can find out the rest of the list, please let me know.

QA is a very specialized field, so you will probably not have many options anyway. That ranking you have above is quitepossibly the most exhaustive one of its kind. There just aren’t that many Quantitive Analysis rankings out there. But why would you want a longer list anyway? The list above has universities of all selectivity levels and in all locations.

This US News’ ranking in this area seems kind of cracked to me. Before the NY IBs went down in flames, Princeton QA heads just moved out of their dorms, took the train to Manhattan and started in. They didn’t sleep much, but they didn’t sleep much before they got those jobs either.

The reason why I want a longer list is so I can have more options. And as for it being a specialized subject, the reason why I like QA is because you need a strong math aptitude, which I have.
