Note that my school is frikkin competitive. Like seriously, extremely competitive. It's an independent school and is recognized as one of the top IB schools in the world. So yeah.

Great chances. Canadian schools Don’t really care about SAT scores btw.

Suggestion: Check out Ivey @ UWO. That’s the only Canadian program I am looking at right now. Queen’s and UofT just don’t compare.

But the acceptance rates are like sooo competitive. The Queen’s website says it admitted about 320 students from around 4500 applications. That’s like a 7% acceptance rate. U of T’s acceptance rate is somewhere around 9%. Doesn’t that make it a lot harder to get in?

Lol no! Trust me, Queen’s Commerce is competitive but definitely not a crapshoot. You just need to get a decent IB score prediction and you’re guaranteed acceptance. Oh, and honestly, UofT accepts EVERYONE!

P.S: I heard that Queen’s is expanding it’s commerce entering class from 300 to 400 this year and will continue expanding it until their business building is fully renovated. I went through their recruitment statistics though and just wasn’t impressed. Ivey is far better.

Ok then, I should be considering Ivey as well then. Just gonna check out their recruitment statistics. What chance do I stand with my IB predicted score?

I think your 41/42 predicted score should be more than enough for both Ivey HBA (AEO) and Queen’s Commerce. Just to clarify something here: they are equally competitive (relative to other Canadian schools. Not HYPSM competitive) in admissions. Ivey just places better.

Wow man ur so smart u hav no idea.
seriously im also doing the IB and did all this research and wouldnt be surprised if u got a scholarship from Rotman and Queens.

I checked the Ivey website for their HBA program and found at that a competitve range for admission into the HBA program as an AEO would be around 36-37 points.

However, they place a lot of emphasis on EC’s than any other canadian Uni. but u seem to have that covered.
they want leadership in EC’s, work experience, and sports

I don’t think internationals have much scholarships available, although tuition is cheap compared to US.

The main thing that frightens me are the acceptance rates…they’re so freaking low. Mind you, this is only my predicted score. I’m only gonna apply after I get my official IB results.

Don’t let the acceptance rates freak you out. HBA and QC, despite being Canada’s most prestigious undergraduate business programs, are nowhere near as competitive as top U.S. schools. If you have an above average IB score prediction with solid IGCSE results, these programs should be your safeties. Good luck!

Yeah but dude, how can you be so sure!!! Sorry, but if I sound desperate to anyone. Let me just clarify. I am desperate. :)
