Since my last thread garnered no replies, I thought I could try phrasing my question more broadly: is Queensborough Community College considered a good, reputable community college and where do the students typically transfer to?

In my other thread I was asking about the Fine and Performing Arts Associate's degree. I really want to find out what schools graduates of this program go on to. If what they offer is a great training in the arts or if it's just another run of the mill program in an average program.

I have a couple of friends in QCC and many of them are planning to apply to Brooklyn college, NYU, other SUNYs or CUNY’s… very diverse. I know someone that got into Columbia thru queensborough. Good luck!

My son went to QCC for one semester. He liked QCC but did not want to be in college. He had done Nassau CC (SUNY school) earlier and hated that because it was too big.

QCC has a nice auditorium and they run a summer performing arts camp but I don’t know about their performing arts program.

My son did take a couple of photography classes and really enjoyed those.
