I am applying to Duke this year and wanted to know which school is easier to get in.

Is the engineering program easier to get into than the college of arts and sciences?

Acceptance rate for the engineering program is higher, but the competition for acceptance is harder. The quality of engineering applicants (e.g. their numbers) is higher.

[Duke University Admissions: Class of 2013 Profile](http://www.admissions.duke.edu/jump/applying/who_2013profile.html)

I would apply to the school that has the major you’re looking for. Don’t apply based on difficultly of acceptance.

AKA Arts & Sciences is much easier.

If you are interested in engineering, however, you should apply to Pratt. It’s much easier to switch from Pratt to Trinity, then the other way around. Whether Pratt or Trinity is easier to get in is debatable… (when I applied I thought Pratt was easier, who knows) so just apply based on your interests.

Its not hard at all to switch from Trinity to Pratt (early in your career of course) or from Pratt to Trinity.
