Hello my child is thinking about applying SCEA to Yale, and applying for Questbridge. He does not want to go through the Match process, as it is very difficult to get matched with Yale (it seems even more difficult than SECA). So if he is selected as finalist, can he just apply SCEA to Yale and list Questbridege finalist as an achievement? Thank you

But then Yale will not see his QB application, which is designed to show more about his circumstances than the Common App.
I think if you are going to get selected SCEA that you would likely be selected in match. I do not think you are increasing your chances by SECA instead of match but rather decreasing them slightly perhaps for the reason mentioned above. Yale has decided to take more QB applicants as well.

@lrcc55 … Yes… it is true that the match process is much more difficult than SCEA, but if he doesn’t get into Yale… he may get into another phenomenal QB partner college
