We are particularly happy to see that Yale is now a Questbridge partner, bringing low income students of academic potential to the forefront. This also bodes well for those students applying SCEA from lower income families not going through the Questbridge program.

Traditionally, those applying SCEA hail from learninig communities imbued with the culture of the college application process. This looks like a very promising year for students from our public schools who wish to apply SCEA. Of course, your academic/EC talents must be superior, but your family/learning/economic background will be a "hook" and be encouraged to apply SCEA.

Note: I am not speaking for Yale, nor am I a Yale representative. I am a Yale alum. I applaude this exceptional focus and intent with regard to lower income students.

Hasn't Yale always given a slight advantage to students from lower income families? Yes, they are a Questbridge partner this year, but I don't see how this means that will give low-income students who are not applying through Questbridge any more of an advantage than they had in in previous years. Or maybe I am wrong! Either way, this is good. :)

My counselor was perfect as was another one of my teachers. However, my 2nd teacher has not sent it in yet and I am going absolutely crazy because of this. She hasn't responded to e-mails n 3 days.
