I've applied to SCEA for Yale so I have a few questions myself. However, I was wondering if any of you guys had any specific questions. I could ask them for you and relay the answers. Yale is visiting my school. I believe it's a part of their outreach program because I believe I'm the first one to have applied to Yale from my school. I know one other person that's applying to Yale also so I'm sure they want to get some more applicants from our school.

Anyways, do you have any questions that you want me to ask to the Admissions Committee?

I'm curious about if SCEA decisions come out on the 15th like they said on the sheet they sent with the ELI code or the 14th like it said on that Yale Daily News article about the rise in SCEA applications. (also about what time would they come up on whatever day)

fringey: where do you live? It's very possible that you live in an area where the volunteer network isn't very large -- if so, few or no interviews might occur in your area. but don't fret as it's one of the slimmest portions of your overall evaluation. GL to you

if my parents are OUT OF TOWN for a few weeks and i cant sent their tax returns until they get back will my financial aid stuff be okay? i've sent fafsa, css and that stuff already...

I live in Los Angeles!!! So frustrating because while the interview doesn't mean much, I would really like to have one because I interview pretty well.

How did you send FAFSA already? They come out in January. Tax returns are usually filed in January if I recall correctly at earliest because that's when the W-2 forms come out, I believe.

The FAFSA that we're supposed to fill out comes out in January. It's for 2008-2009 usage, which is the years that we'll be in college.

My presenter was not from the Admissions Committee but was actually from the Ambassadors' Program, my counselor told me wrong. However, he was able to provide a lot of insight into Yale nonetheless. However, a lot of it is what I already knew (thank you Yale.edu, Wikipedia, the viewbook, and College Confidential).

Yale Early Action Date of Notification: Dec. 15 according to my guy. I'm still checking like a madman on the 14th.
