not matched
Not matched with any ivies I applied to lol. My test scores ruined everything
Matched with RICE!! Omg. This is seriously one of the best days of my life! God is so great!
Not matched.
Not matched. This is okay. I had high test scores and a great academic and extracurricular record. I will be one of the majority of QuestBridge College Match finalists who get in through regular decision!
Let me encourage the rest of you to keep your head up high! Most of us get in through regular decision!
Matched to Rice as well! It’s so relieving that my college admissions process is finally just about over.
Matched to UPenn!!! So excited!!! 657 Finalists were matched and 51 were matched to UPenn this year as well! Best of luck to everyone; remember you could still be accepted to your choices during regular decision!
MATCHED WITH TUFTS!!
I was not matched– which is disappointed but obviously not the end all be all.
Does anybody completely understand what to do to apply regular to all of the schools if you were not matched? For instance, I ranked USC but didn’t match– so do I have to submit anything extra, or am I automatically considered?
Congrats on everybody who matched!
Not matched… and actually surprised at how disappointed I feel. It was always a long shot but I think I got more invested as time went on. Planning the regular decision strategies after this brownie and ice cream. Heartfelt congratulations to all those who Matched, proud for you and hope to see some of you on the flip-side.
Did anyone get an email from Columbia??? They just told me to switch my application to early decision!
Matched with Stanford! Totally unexpected. So happy!
@Yomo710 me too!!! I wonder if any other colleges are doing this!
Congrats to those who matched, and keep going for those who didn’t! My son wasn’t even a finalist, and just being a finalist is an accomplishment!
imho I believe that one of the major considerations is first generation to college–71% this year for finalists. I understand the reason behind that, but for this process, it seems to be a definite plus.
I know that most finalists will get in through RD, so good luck!
Did anyone else get this email from columbia?
A parent here lurking as my nephew went through this last year. For those who get a note from one of your schools about switching your app to ED, please don’t read too much into that. I know this happened with kids last year at various schools and this did not mean they were admitted ED. If you’re committed to the school then go for it, but again, I just don’t want you to read too much into that. Good luck to you all!
@exoticportrichey Man I really wish I had brownies and ice cream right now, pretty bummed.
@Yomo710 I got the email from columbia too. You have to do it by Dec. 3rd. I’m really considering taking them up on the offer to apply ED. One of the reasons I applied through quest bridge was that if you are rejected through college match you get your application automatically rolled over to regular decision. But with ED, if you are rejected, that’s it for you. So either way, regular decision or ED, I have one more chance to get in. Columbia is my top choice so I think I’m going to go for it.
How about you @Yomo710?
@Alpha101 It is my top school. I only have a 31 on my ACT, so my score is a bit low. I have extensive extra curriculars, though.
@Yomo710 @Alpha101 @putsky Can someone copy and paste the e-mail that you received? I think I received one too, but I’m not sure if it’s specific to me or if it was sent to everyone.
Since I was matched, I’ll have to withdraw all other applications. Should I just send an email to each university’s admissions office? Are there forms I have to fill out or anything?
Columbia sent me an email saying they withdrew my application automatically after I was matched, but no other university has done this. Should I assume that other QuestBridge partner colleges will do the same?
