I get accepted as a finalist but then I gave up on it.
walmarttarget, yup definitely- i wanted to make sure i got an answer!
Anyone have a fave school they would love to match with other than ivies?
My D’s dream school is Haverford. It’s a dangerous game to have a dream school but she does have viable backup plans.
Son’s only binding rank is USC. He applied to SCA for film. It’s definitely a dream, but he also has backups
I was a finalist for another binding full tutition (room & board not included) scholarship program and I gave up my spot to do QuestBridge for the full ride. My other friend who went through with the first scholarship got it. And I’ve honestly never had a harder time breathing.
It won’t, make sure you applied for early decision.
Breath, the reason for Questbridge is for you. Don’t ever give up quality that you deserve.
If they are qualified for Questbridge, Haverford isn’t that expensive, seems like your kiddo is smart and deserves a lot more than that?
My daughter likes U Penn better than any…but it’s not ivy, or is it? LOL
WAIT…WHAT?
Amen, I’m sure he checked the boxes to be considered regular! God Bless ya.
I have posted this in past years, make sure you answer your phone on Match Day. My kid got a phone call before the email the day of the Match. Most schools don’t, but there are some that do. In past years there have also been a few schools that have called their Match recipients the day before.
Can you clarify?
Clarify what specifically?
@ CottonTales Wow good to know! I doubt they will call the day before this year, it being a Sunday. But we will keep a phone handy anyways.
I’m finding myself searching portals and over analyzing emails looking for tells, but I’m sure there aren’t any for DS’s ranked schools. I can’t help it
Anyone find any hints that would indicate a match or deferred to RD?
@ThatKidsMom, don’t discount the call on a Sunday.
@romns116 , there won’t be any hints or tells on portals.
Aww shucks I knew it when I caught myself over analyzing standard snail mail today from the USC FA Office.
Okay, patience being practiced here. Monday is around the corner.
He’ll keep his phone close on Sunday.
Good luck everyone!
