Questbridge National College Match Finalists 2018-2019

You are my parent twin, ha ha. I, too, am over-analyzing every aspect of everything. I know logically the chances are so so slim, which adds to the anxiety. Best of luck to you and your son, as well as to all the parents and students on this site! I’m just trying to put it all in God’s hands and trust that it will all work out the way it is supposed to be.

Definitely need to immerse myself in college football/basketball and other distracting activities this weekend

Hi! Hopeful mom here. Will the results be posted on Questbridge at some point on Monday? Do those who are matched hear from their school first?
Thanks!

All finalists receive an email notice of a Questbridge update, like they did with the finalist announcement. Can’t speak to when they hear from their matched school but it will be after the QB announcement. Good luck!

Upenn is an ivy league school.

@jn0002 I asked my daughter and she said that she hasn’t received any emails from partner schools since October 29th. Are you sure these emails are from QB and not just mass-marketing emails?

My daughter, who is very pragmatic about the odds of being matched, is working on all her other applications for RD. It will be a very pleasant surprise if she is matched. It bears repeating that many more QB finalists are accepted regular decision than during the match round.

@jn0002 @momofmusician17

DS has received marketing emails from other partner schools since October, ranked and unranked alike. Oberlin (unranked) is the most frequent, by far.

@momofmusician17 Some emails could just be through marketing (I got accepted to some Fly In Programs over the summer to the QuestBridge partner schools because of CPS), but what really worried me was that I received emails from a QuestBridge liason from Dartmouth (I did rank Dartmouth for the College Match but I’m just worried).

I know that Monday around 4 PM we’ll find out, but I just can’t help but get nervous!!

I wouldn’t read much into the emails from the Dartmouth QB liaison. DS receives the same emails.

@jn0002 - Being nervous/worried is completely understandable. I must admit to increased anxiety levels this past week!!

Best of luck on Monday!!

So glad Im busy all day and night tomorrow (Sunday). Sheesh. Im just gonna remember that my son will get into the right school for him, that God’s got his back on this. And if he has to move on to Regular Decision, he’ll have a good shot at that too. Or go to a State school that’ll be alright. Im just gonna trust that each one of these Questbridger’s will be in the right school for them. Best of luck to everyone on Monday!

Reminder for your students to keep their phones close today!

@romns116 would they really call a day early?

I am the poster that said that a few partner schools have done so in past years, but it isn’t the norm. My kiddo got the call on Match day around 4 pm or so.

anyone know what date match day was last year?

Did anyone get a call or something this year?

Does everyone’s application page have the box with “Regular decision tracking requirements” on it?

No? Can you post a pic of it?

Unless you submitted a RD form already?

@Jakesmom1 yep! I’m pretty sure mine appeared when I chose what schools I wanted to apply to regular decision last week.

Where is the “regular decision tracking requirements” showing up on the app page?
