Questbridge partner email today?

Did anyone else's kid who didn't get accepted into the College Prep program get an email from a partner school welcoming them into the program?

What's up with that? Is that standard practice?

That’s nice. I’d just take it that they would want him to look at their college. Realize that all colleges want you to apply. Then they can take a look at your application package to see if they can admit you. There is no pre-review done. Basically they are a partner college because they are interested in talented low income kids.

Well, it’s kind of discouraging when they say, “We’ll see you at the Questbridge event” when, in fact, they won’t. I definitely get the fact that they want kids to apply. It just seems weird since my kid won’t be involved in Questbridge.

Oh, I see. So it is just a mistake. I wouldn’t make a big deal about it. They were given a list and they emailed. List was wrong.

Yep. Hopefully, not many kids got emails by mistake, though. Kind of gets kids hopes up.

You could contact Questbridge. Maybe it was the other notification that was wrong…

Ha-ha, I did. They said this particular college sent out emails by mistake. Darn. :-)
