Question about Academic Achievements

I neatly summarized all my Academic and Extracurricular Achievements in a resume. I won different prizes at the national Olympiads in my country (I'm an international). Now my question goes like this: Is it necessary to attach translated copies of the diplomas I have received? Would colleges look skeptical at my resume if it is not supported by copies of the actual diplomas? I know that the admission officers receive lots of paper applications each year and I wouldn't like them to consider my application as unnecessarily "congested", but neither I would like them to think my resume is an invention. Any opinions?

Errm, anyone?

I do not think you have to provide any documentation. I am not international, but domestically you just state which ever distinction (even national distinctions) without requiring to photocopy anything.

You are correct in the concern that admissions officers would be overrun with paper work had everyone need to report proof of distinction.

Best of luck!
