<p>So recently one of my friends who applied to UT was already accepted, and she applied late October. She wasn't an auto-admit, not even in the top 10% and did not apply to any honors/Plan II. Are there cases where applicants are accepted so early outside the automatic admission pool?</p>
<p>That is the first person I’ve heard of that was not an auto-admit. Congrats to her! Did she have some type of hook to get admitted? It is very out of the norm for a non auto-admit to hear this early.</p>
<p>No hooks that I know of. Regardless, its given me a bit more hope in my chance for admittance.</p>
