when admissions officers are choosing which students to admit, will they look at the students in the past who have applied and gotten accepted to Cornell from the same high school? (for example, will they have a Naviance-type thing that shows who has gotten in?)

I imagine they have the information available. Whether they routinely check past years, no idea, possibly unneccessary if they know the school and there are a decent number of current applicants from it. They almost certainly compare current applicants from the same school with each other.

(IMO, just guessing).

They will look at the school’s profile to determine how you are relative to other students. They will also look at how many APs and honors the school offers to see if you have taken the most rigorous course load. Sometimes they will look at how well students from your school have performed at Cornell. Sometimes a school gets blackballed because misrepresentation by GCs, or if students from that school make a habit of violating the ED contract.

Also keep in mind that each of the colleges at Cornell has their own admissions. If other students from your school are apllying to different colleges at Cornell it will have no bearing on your chances. My daughters Guidance Counselor made reference in her recommendation to other students we’ve had go to Ivy league schools (and perform well while there) and compared my daughter favorably to them in variables usually associated with predicting college success.

“when admissions officers are choosing which students to admit, will they look at the students in the past who have applied and gotten accepted to Cornell from the same high school?”

im pretty sure they won’t look too deep into it. they’ve got better things to evaluate you on, and they got tons of apps to go.
