Question about AU admissions for males vs females

So yeah apparently American U is only 37.5% Male. Does this mean that boys applying this year have a better chance Vs a woman (of course i mean if everything is up to their standards I.E- GPA, SAT’s , EC’s, etc)? I was just wondering

No clue...although if I were AU, I would make it a little easier for the guys for the next couple of years at least...just to even things out. Because 37.5% male!?!? That's ridiculous. I'm applying to AU, but that statistic is a bit of a turn off for me.

ahaha yeah im applying there 2... its a win win situation for me if thats the case

No. "The admissions director at American University in Washington, D.C., takes the position that boys and girls should be assessed equally. The result: AU's student population is two-thirds female." See here: Boys' turn: Now they need help getting into colleges - USATODAY.com

Straight guys probably wouldn't have a statistical problem of finding a date, however.

"Straight guys probably wouldn't have a statistical problem of finding a date, however."

well atleast thats workin 4 me =D

haha not to burst your bubbles guys but im a current AU Student, and while there are good looking girls on campus they are scarce...so you'd be battling it out for the - not so good looking ones - im not being offensive, sexist or anything of the sort... but thats the truth... at the same time there are very few straight guys at AU, so if you're even remotely good looking then you have a very good chance! haha on a separate note: AU is an amazing school I love it and have never regretted my decision of attending it. And if you don't find what you're looking for at AU there are always clubs you can go to on tuesdays, fridays or saturdays!
