Question About Big Financial Aid Envelope

I remember a few weeks ago I saw some people post that they received big envelope that then turned out to just be a financial aid mailing. My son, who applied 11/15, just got that same big envelope. I am curious if there is any correlation between getting the financial aid envelope and getting a decision. Can any of you who received the financial aid envelope shed any light on this for us? Has anyone received this envelope and then not received a decision after that?

There isn’t.

There isn’t, and people are getting them at random times. I got it the day after I got in via admissions portal last monday and my parents thought it was my acceptance letter and freaked out. I actually just got my official letter today. On the long thread I think people established that it was random and didn’t mean anything.
