Question about calculating GPA

Hi all, I had a question about calculating my UW GPA.

Last year, I took 7 classes, each of which calculated into my GPA.

This year, I am taking 7 classes, one of which is a study hall, which does not factor into my GPA.

For the sake of ease of explanation, lets say I got all B’s last year. My average for last year would be (3*7)/7 which equals a 3.0 average

Let’s say I got all A’s this year. My average would be (4*6)/6=4.0.

If I want to calculate my cumulative for this year and last year would it be (4+3)/2 or would it be (37+46)/(6+7)

I hope this is clear enough, please let me know if this is confusing thanks.

It would be (37 + 46)/13

You might want to try this website (http://gradetracker.com/academy/weighted-high-school-gpa-calculator). It gives you a pretty good range of options (including regular/honors/AP classes).

Hi, I’m trying to convert my marks (I’m from Europe, we have marks from 1 to 5 scale) to GPA for Common Application.
What is the maximum unweighted GPA (we don’t have AP or IB)?
